Ludmilla Tourischeva is dedicated to the Russian gymnast of that name, the last of the really graceful and elegant gymnasts before they all became built like small birds flitting around the arena at great speed. Blade Runner 2010 was inspired by the dark and moody soundtrack of the original film and is more of an ambient piece.
Cross Culture Funk is just that, a Brazilian vocal to an African guitar riff and very modern western style rhythm. Ice Cream is another funky track with the remainder of the album being the kind of real Chillout material that by now you have become familiar with my compositions – Lounge music with heart – This time rounded off with a track with a title that could well be my usual advice to you when listening to this music, Close Your Eyes (And Dream).
Created by Clive at his peaceful home in exotic Bali, the influence of the colorful and rich Balinese Hindu culture plus the people’s inherent quiet and gentle nature becomes apparent in many of these musical creations. This is as far removed from urban chaos as you could possibly get, it is intended to take you out of yourself for a while, a temporary release from the pressures of everyday life.
