This is album number 12 in the series of album music collections that features a variety of compositions, presented more or less in the order that they were created. The cover picture is of a Balinese Temple with its spire Rising Up to the heavens. The number of roofs, which is always an odd number, shows the importance of the structure. The maximum number is 11 which this has.
We begin this time with a fairly laid back track - Just One More Time, this is another of my songs without words where the title can easily be sung to the melody played on electronic dulcimer, an instrument that has become one of my favourite lead sounds, used in many of my tracks. Far From Home is Indian influenced rhythmically with a gentle flute like melody. Are You Ready has a definite swing to it and a bridge that features a rhythmic accompaniment courtesy of my printer.
The Great Caves Of Mulu are situated in Sarawak - Malaysian Borneo and are huge limestone caves big enough to house 3 jumbo jets. I know It’s Not True and It’s A New Life takes us back to another two very pleasant laid back melodies, the first featuring dulcimer once again. These lead on to track number 7, the single funky contribution to this album Soul Funk – which I believe is self explanatory in terms of both feel and style. It’s Good To Be Home is a bouncy piano instrumental with the title track Rise Up being a more moody, atmospheric track.
Rounding off the album is the appropriately titled 'It's Time To Say Goodnight'.
